Who is The Eldest Young?
We’re a group of 6 friends who get together once a week to eat pizza and write songs for our friends and community members to listen to and maybe even dance to.
Why are we doing this?
Portland isn’t war-torn — it’s just weird. And in all that weirdness, there are the people who make the city better every day.
That’s why we’re donating 100% of the net profits from our album — merch, vinyl, shows, even carrot cake sales* — to Safe Route Immigration, a nonprofit helping people in our community find legal pathways to safety.
Safe Route helps people navigate the immigration system and stay together as families. It’s local, it’s direct, and it’s human. We believe that music should do the same thing: bring people together and make the world just a little bit kinder.
*Carrot Cakes are cancelled due to the high demand. Carrot Cake samples will still be available at the show. Carrot Cake Recipe Coming Soon…
What we’re creating
We’re releasing our 4th album, GREATEST HITS, this November — and using it to do some good. This campaign helps us press vinyl, make shirts, and channel all that creative energy into direct support for Safe Route Immigration, helping families find safety and stay together.
How you can help
You can back the project at any level — from $15 for a bandana to $40 for a vinyl to $5,000 for a private show.
Every dollar from this first wave of support goes straight to Safe Route Immigration.
After production and merch costs, we’ll donate all net profits to Safe Route Immigration and share proof of the donation at the end of the campaign.

No. We don’t believe in completely open borders — we believe in safe, legal, and humane pathways for people seeking a better life. Our support for Safe Route Immigration is about helping families navigate the legal process and keeping them together, not bypassing it. We oppose the cruelty and separation caused by current enforcement tactics, not the idea of a fair immigration system.
